This one day workshop is for those who have access to the Person-centred Care Champions Training Resource and who have responsibility for the learning and development of their workforce.

Learning outcomes
This programme provides knowledge and understanding for the skills to implement the General Social Care Council Code of Practice and for National Occupational Standards in Health and Social Care at level 3.
On completion of this workshop, participants will have explored the
Person-centred Care Champions Training Resource and have:
- Examined values and attitudes with regard to care working
- Understood the person-centred philosophy and approach to care practice and implications for supporting care staff in a person-centred way
- Explored the role of the Care Champion
- Discussed the delivery of training to care workers using the Care Champion’s Training Resource
- Understood the need to mentor the care workers when completing work-based assignments to provide evidence of personal and professional development
This programme is recognised by OCR, the NVQ Awarding body, as
providing the underpinning knowledge and understanding for the Skills
for Care National Occupational Standards for NVQ level 4 in Health and
Social Care:
